Is your tutoring reliable?
Your first session with me is FREE! I know it can be difficult to assess if a tutor is worth paying for or if they will be able to adapt to your style of learning. I am confident I can be a valuable asset wherever you are in the certification process due to the numerous students I have helped before, but I will let you make that determination for yourself after the first free session! Feel free to check out reviews from my previous students as well!
How will we meet?
All tutoring sessions will be conducted via Zoom with a video and microphone capable device. This way I can share my screen with practice exams, graphics, and other resources with you. After you book a session, I will email you a Zoom link invitation for that time!
What is your availability?
I know finding time to do tutoring while still being in class, working, etc. can be overwhelming, so I set my tutoring schedule with enough availability to fit almost everyone's availability. Click the "Schedule a session" link below to see what times I have available, and shoot me a message if you are not seeing any times that work for you!
What will we cover?
Depending on what step you are on in the certification process, we will cover several topics: 1. Your current class material for any upcoming quizzes or exams 2. Tips for how to break down and answer NREMT-style questions 3. Do deep-dives into whatever topics you want to cover such as medical terminology, in-depth explinations of disease processes, pharmacology, EKGs or anything else that might be on your national exam
What if I need to cancel?
I understand that most of us have very busy schedules, especially in EMS and while being in school, so you will not be charged if you give a cancellation notice 12 hours in advance. Sessions cancelled with less than 12 hours notice will not receive a refund due to not having adequate time for another student to fill that session. Students will have 10 minutes from the scheduled session time to join the Zoom meeting, or else it will be considered a no-show and they will be charged for the session. All sessions will be scheduled under CENTRAL TIME, so please adjust your calendar accordingly

About your Tutor!
Hi I'm Brennan, your tutor! I have worked in EMS for six years and have extensive experience both on the job and teaching/tutoring. My first two years in EMS were spent as an EMT working for a fire department and the rest being a Paramedic for a fire department and private ambulance company. I have assisted in proctoring National Registry EMT and Paramedic practical exams, taught BLS, ACLS and PALS in the classroom setting for over two years. Most importantly though, I have tutored hundreds of EMT and Paramedic students through their classes and preparing for the NREMT!
Initially I began tutoring as a part time job to make some extra income, but I quickly realized that there is a tremendous number of EMT and Paramedic students struggling with passing their accelerated/online courses, and many others who have passed their classes and are now struggling to understand and answer the "choose the most correct" style questions on their national exam. Through my thousands of hours of tutoring students in these exact scenarios, plus my countless hours teaching other EMS related topics, I have gained the knowledge and tools necessary to help ANYONE pass their class and NREMT if they are willing to put in their end of the work.
I am skilled in observing how each student learns best and tailoring my tutoring style to fit your specific needs. Whether you have a learning disability or are just stressed out about the vast amount of material you have to learn and are losing confidence in yourself, I am here to patiently teach you the material you don't understand and show you how to break down the NREMT-style questions.
